DAR Schools for underprivileged children in Appalachia.

DAR Schools  for Indian Children.

Veterans in Fredericksburg area nursing homes, and McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond.

Fund for flags and Pledge of Allegiance cards for new citizens (Americanism Committee)

DAR Scholarships, Field of Nursing, Medical, History, Political Science, Music, Teaching, to an Indian Student Preservation of Historic records in Virginia, courthouse documents

Donations to National for records project (Seimes) currently digitizing all DAR applications and proof documents (which helped us to complete your application so quickly) DAR Project Patriot which provides phone cards and other items to Active Duty Military in Landstuhl, Germany recovering from injuries sustained in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Literacy: Promoting literacy in children and adults by buying and donating books for teaching/improving reading skills. A portion of your national dues goes to restoration of the wonderful DAR complex of buildings at 1776 D Street in Washington. Children of the American Revolution is another benefactor.

At the Virginia State level: VADAR Shrines, such as Kenmore, Stratford Hall, Woodlawn Plantation and the Yorktown Customhouse depend on our donations. The Bell Tower at Capitol Square in Richmond is the current State Regents Project and is part of our State funding. VADAR also awards State Scholarships.
